Resumen: El texto describe algunas de las circunstancias que condujeron al neurofisiólogo y filósofo de la ciencia mexicano Arturo Rosenblueth a dar vida al Club de filosofía de la ciencia que se reuniría periódicamente en el Vanderbilt Hall de la Escuela de Medicina de Harvard y que conduciría a la formación del Grupo Macy, colectivo que a su vez derivaría tiempo después en el llamado Grupo Cibernética (1946-1953) que dio vida a esta disciplina que está en la base de los profundos cambios tecnológicos, de vida y epistémicos tanto en los diversos campos de la ciencia como de la humanidad misma. También se enuncian en los propios términos de los científicos Rosenblueth y Wiener algunos de los conceptos centrales que derivan de sus reflexiones de sobre esta ciencia.

Abstract: The text describes some of the circumstances that led to the Mexican neurophysiologist and science philosopher Arturo Rosenblueth to give life to the Philosophy of science club, which would meet periodically at the Vanderbilt Hall of Harvard Medical School and that would lead to the formation of the Macy Group, a collective that later on derived in the so called Cybernetics Group (1946-1953), which gave birth to this discipline that is in the basis of the profound technological, of life and epistemic changes in the diverse fields of science, as humanity itself. Also are enunciated in the own terms of the scientists Rosenblueth and Wiener some of the central concepts derived from their reflections on this science.
